Kindness & Leadership, 50 Leading Lights Reception 2019
On 18th November 2019, as Women of the Future Ambassadors, we were honoured to attend the ‘Kindness and Leadership, 50 Leading Lights Reception’ at St James' Palace. Women of the Future is an incredible organisation focussed on inspiring and empowering a community of change makers to create a better future through kindness and collaboration.
The Reception was hosted by The Countess of Wessex and Pinky Lilani CBE. It was a wonderful event in which kindness in leadership was celebrated.
At the reception we got to catch up with the amazing Women of the Future team and we met a wonderful woman named Cathy Brown who is the Director of Strategy and Operations at UCL. We spoke about her role at UCL and what it meant to her to be a Leading Light. She has freely shared her time with others over her career without giving it a second thought.
It was such a special event, especially as it is so important to showcase role models who are proving kindness and success go hand in hand- who are not only kind but are using kindness to create positive change to help others.
