Our Values

INCLUSIVITY
CAREAUX was founded to address a lack of representation and inclusivity in the fashion industry, and that remains the driving force behind everything we do. Every CAREAUX piece is available in any size (e.g. 6 or 36), with the option to select different sizes for the top, waist and skirt. This allows our garments to truly fit the individual, whether that’s a size 6 top with a size 16 bottom, or vice versa, using traditional sizing in an inclusive and innovative way. Our mission goes beyond fit – we want every girl and woman to see themselves reflected in CAREAUX, championing visibility and representation. Inclusivity is embedded at every level of the brand, from our suppliers, product design, and sizing, to imagery, and community engagement.
SUSTAINABILITY
From day one, CAREAUX has been built on the values of sustainability, ethics, and transparency, not as an add-on, but as a foundation. Every CAREAUX piece is handcrafted in England using consciously sourced, premium fabrics and made in partnership with ethical suppliers who share our values. We believe that true luxury is sustainable - it means slowing down, choosing quality over quantity, and designing garments that are made to last. Our invention is inherently sustainable by allowing the top and skirt to be worn separately or together, and interchanged with other CAREAUX pieces (number of tops x number of skirts = number of dresses). This reduces the need to purchase more, extends the lifespan of each item, and supports circular fashion principles in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. From our fully recyclable and compostable packaging, to our production model, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint while supporting British craftsmanship. Every decision, from fabric sourcing to packaging and fulfilment, is made with care, with the aim of creating a more inclusive, ethical, and sustainable fashion industry.
INNOVATION
At CAREAUX, innovation goes beyond our patented product - it shapes how we design, produce, and do business. We ask: How can we do things better? How can we make fashion more inclusive? More sustainable? From researching the latest materials, to designing garments that adapt to different body shapes and sizes, to working with ethical manufacturers - innovation guides every step. For us, innovation means breaking down barriers - in design, in manufacturing, and across the fashion industry.
POSITIVE IMPACT
At CAREAUX, we believe fashion should be a force for good - not just in what we create, but in how and why we create it. Positive impact is embedded in every part of our brand, from representation to production. We are proud to be a disability- and women-owned business. With Laura living with Cystic Fibrosis and navigating a hidden disability, we understand firsthand the importance of increasing access, breaking down barriers, and driving equity. We are building a brand where every decision considers people, planet, and animals - from ethical production and inclusive sizing to the causes we support and the stories we share. So far, thanks to your support, we have collaborated with or fundraised for over 20 charities, including United Nations Girl Up, Smart Works, Special Olympics, and The Pankhurst Centre. We are proud to serve as ambassadors for the Prince’s Trust, One Young World, Leonard Cheshire, Women of the Future, and STEM Learning. To date, we have volunteered over 10,000 hours to social impact initiatives — including mentoring, workshops, and public speaking across gender equality, disability, innovation, STEM, and sustainability. This includes delivering school workshops to show how fashion and STEM work together with the hope to inspire the next generation of inclusive designers. Our mission is to use CAREAUX as a platform for change - to prove that a brand can centre purpose, create opportunity, and build the world we want to live in.
