Tell us a bit about yourself

I’m 18 and I have just finished my final year at Burnley college studying media, I’m a student photographer who will be studying at York St. John’s University in September, and I have also had the privilege of working with the likes of Rachel and Laura and also Northern Power Women.

What makes you smile?

My Grandma is someone who constantly makes me smile, she is so strong and never fails to be me happiness. I’ve spent so much time with her since I was very little, and even more so these past few years, the conversations we have are funny and entertaining and she always brightens my day.

What can we do to support others during this time?

In this time I think it’s important to keep in contact with your friends and family, mental health is a big issue and the moment and I know from personal experience having someone to talk to always helps.

What have you been doing? (Any tips/ advice for isolation)

I have been keeping myself busy with my final pieces of college work as well as going to walks which I find helps out a lot with keeping myself fit. When I’m not in class or walking I love to sit and read, spend time with my family, we watch films together and have game nights, which is something we never really did as everyone was always so busy but we have the time now to spend time together and it’s really nice.

Shoutout to someone who has done something kind:
I would like to give a shoutout to my mum Helen, she is definitely my role model, she has been though so much and has come out the other end stronger and I just think she is amazing. But also a huge shoutout to the NHS and Key workers for all your doing.
