Masterpiece London 2018
The Royal Hospital Chelsea becomes the meeting point of creatives and collectors during Masterpiece London. What sets it apart is the juxtaposition of art and design from all periods and origins.

Masterpiece London is an art fair held in the beautiful grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. It is a week-long annual event held in late June. It showcases amazing creations from fine art to sculpture, from antiques to jewellery. The pieces are truly beautiful and it was a joy to see it all.
We spent the evening visiting each exhibitor and spoke to them about the art and learnt more about the pieces - there were over 150 international exhibitors all with a different story created through art. We attended the opening evening which was fantastic. One of our favourite exhibitors was Sandra Cronan which sources the most beautiful antique jewellery ranging from the 17th century through to the 20th century. Throughout the evening, Sandra Cronan hosted talks about the history of the pieces that were on display and the stories behind them. They also spoke about how flowers were an integral part of life and how they have influenced jewellery with a special mention of the wonderful book called ‘The Language of Flowers: A Miscellany’ by Mandy Kirkby.
